Sadler’s Well

Richard Sadler opened a “Musick House” in 1683 in London. Two men, digging a garden on Mr. Sadler’s property, struck something that they assumed to be buried treasure. It turned out to be an ancient well containing iron-rich water which was thought to have health benefits. Mr. Sadler claimed that drinking from his well would cure a potpourri of illnesses. The well turned out to be a treasure indeed! Sadler’s theatre soon became famous, drawing an aristocratic clientele from around the country to partake of musical entertainment and the purifying water of Sadler’s Well. We look forward to sharing our “treasure” with you. May it fill you and your loved ones with prosperity and delight!
